In comments on Saturday, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to the security of its neighboring countries, but warned that bases used by the adversaries will face military action.
Pointing to the ongoing war of aggression imposed by the United States and the Israeli regime, he indicated that any country that provides space or land to the enemies would become a legitimate target for the Iranian Armed Forces.
Shekarchi reiterated that Iran had previously declared that any location designated as a starting point for aggression against the Islamic Republic would be considered a legitimate target. He emphasized that the Armed Forces have acted on this promise by striking all bases utilized by the US to launch attacks on Iranian territory.
He also clarified Iran's strategy toward its neighbors, stating that the Islamic Republic has made every effort to avoid causing harm to neighboring nations and remains committed to this principle.
The general asserted that the security of all Muslim countries is intertwined with the security of the Islamic Republic, and Iran respects the national sovereignty of these nations.
Elaborated on Iran's operational considerations in the region, the spokesman stated that countries that do not provide their space, land, and resources to enemies will not be targeted and will maintain their security.
However, any country that allows its airspace or land to be used against Iran will be regarded as a target, he cautioned.
