Trump Betrayed Diplomacy Out of Spite, Araqchi Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi slammed the US President Donald Trump for betraying diplomacy out of spite, criticizing Washington’s so-called negotiation approach toward Iran and saying that distortions of facts derailed nuclear talks.

Politics

Araqchi made the remarks in a post on X on Wednesday, on day fourth after the US and Israeli regime waged a war against Iran by assassinating Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and killing hundreds of civilians.

He argued that Washington treated the process as a real estate transaction rather than a diplomatic effort.

“Mr. Trump betrayed diplomacy and the American people who elected him,” Araqchi wrote on his official X account.

“When complex nuclear negotiations are treated like a real estate deal and when big lies distort the facts, unrealistic expectations will never be met,” he said.

“The result? Bombing the negotiating table out of spite and stubbornness.”
