Omani Sultan, Iran’s Top Security Official Meet in Muscat

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani held talks in Muscat on Tuesday, February 10.

In the meeting, held at Al Barakah Palace of Muscat, the Iranian delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to the Sultan of Oman.

For his part, the Sultan of Oman asked the guests to convey his greetings to President Pezeshkian, wishing Iran further stability and prosperity.

Participants in the meeting discussed the latest developments of Iran-US negotiations, and addressed pathways toward achieving a balanced and equitable agreement for all parties, Oman News Agency reported.

The Iranian and Omani officials also underscored the critical importance of resuming dialogue and returning to the negotiating table to bridge perspectives and resolve outstanding differences through peaceful means. They agreed that such efforts are fundamental to promoting and sustaining peace and security both in the region and the world.

The meeting was also attended by Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office of Oman.
