IRGC: 10 Hostile Spy Agencies Involved in Recent Terrorist Riots in Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The IRGC Intelligence Organization said the recent violent and terrorist riots in Iran were orchestrated by a joint command structure formed by 10 hostile intelligence services, as part of a US-Zionist plot following their strategic defeat in the 12-day war.

In a statement issued on Friday about the developments known as the American-Zionist sedition of January 2026, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Intelligence Organization explained that the terrorist incidents were designed in continuation of the 12-day war of June 2025 and were carried out hastily under the impact of the enemy’s strategic failures.

According to the statement, a segment of a broader US-Zionist plan — which ultimately failed due to the preparedness of Iran’s security and law enforcement bodies and the vigilance of the people — involved the formation of an “enemy command room” composed of 10 hostile and competing intelligence services immediately after the 12-day war, tasked with conducting terrorist operations inside Iran.

The IRGC Intelligence Organization said documents and intelligence obtained from that command room showed that the enemy’s operation was built on three pillars: inciting internal unrest, paving the way for military intervention, and activating group-based militant movements, all aimed at creating a moment of existential threat against Iran.

Based on this assessment, the statement said, the IRGC Intelligence Organization launched cognitive countermeasures and a series of intelligence operations to prevent and manage the scale, depth, and intensity of potential threats and unrest.

It noted that targeted operational plans have been implemented against the pillars of internal unrest and group-based militant activity, leading to a range of outcomes including the arrest or summons of hundreds of individuals linked to anti-security networks, guidance and warning of thousands of vulnerable elements, public awareness efforts among at-risk social groups and professions, the seizure of hundreds of illegal military and hunting weapons, and the identification and controlled utilization of dozens of members of networks cooperating with foreign intelligence services.

The statement described the recent unrest as a weakened and redesigned version of the enemy’s hybrid warfare operation against the Islamic Republic, aimed at undermining Iran’s national cohesion and territorial and identity-based integrity.
