The members of the terrorist team, who had entered Iran from the western borders with the purpose of inflicting casualties amid the recent riots and had committed crimes in capital Tehran, were arrested by the Intelligence Ministry forces.

On January 8, the terrorists attacked a Police station at Tehranpars in eastern Tehran by employing assault rifles and firing more than 850 rounds with the aim of seizing the center and looting its weapons. The raid resulted in the martyrdom of several Police servicemen, Basij forces, and ordinary citizens.

The terrorists also opened fire on the intelligence forces. One armed terrorist was killed and four others were arrested in the operation, while two Intelligence Ministry forces were wounded.
