In a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Tuesday evening, Larijani said cooperation between Tehran and Doha prepares the ground for sustainable stability and security in the region.
For his part, the Qatari premier highlighted the age-old relations between the two nations, saying Qatar is eager to promote brotherly relations with Iran.
The prime minister stated that Qatar and Iran have stood by each other in hard times, stressing that any attempt to upset stability in Iran will have dire consequences for regional stability.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry had announced earlier that it is in contact with both Iran and the United States and supports any dialogue aimed at preventing further escalation of tensions.
In another phone call on Tuesday, Larijani and Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji talked about the relationship between Tehran and Baghdad and the implementation of a joint security agreement.
Al-Araji praised the Iranian nation for victory over the enemies, saying Iranians portray a stunning image when they remain united powerfully.
The paths of Iran and Iraq are identical, so that their victories are common, he added.
