Joint Webinar Explores AI Opportunities for Iranian, Iraqi Universities

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sharif University of Technology in Tehran and Baghdad University convened a joint webinar to strengthen academic exchanges, share advanced research, and explore potential collaboration opportunities.

Space/Science

The event, focused on data science, artificial intelligence, and their applications in engineering, brought together faculty, researchers, and students from both institutions.

Topics covered included Split Federated Learning for IoT optimization in 6G networks, a robot health monitoring and failure prediction system, compositional generalization, massive data analytics, robust and interpretable machine learning, and advancements in multi-modal learning and large vision-language models.

The webinar fostered discussions on future collaborations, with both parties expressing interest in joint events, faculty exchanges, online courses, thesis guidance, joint research and publications, and academic exchanges.

This partnership, leveraging the growing AI market in Iraq and Sharif University's strong scientific and technical capabilities, paves the way for long-term strategic cooperation in advanced technologies and aims to benefit both institutions and the wider region.
