Speaking to Tasnim on the sideline of a meeting in Tehran where Iranian Foreign Minister held a session with foreign envoys, Russina Ambassador to Tehran Alexi Dedov emphasized Russia's firm support for Iran's efforts to combat terrorism.
"We strongly condemn US intervention in Iran and we sympathize with Iranian people on this matter and of course we support the steps which Iranian government undertakes in order to fight terrorism," Dedov stated.
He further noted that Russia believes that Iran is achieving success in this endeavor to fight terrorism.
Furthermore, Dedov underscored the importance of the relationship between Russia and Iran. He highlighted that this relationship is built upon a strategic treaty and a commitment to multilateral cooperation.
"It is very important relations that is based on our strategic treaty on multilateral relations with Iran and we should continue going this course," Dedov affirmed.
