Pakistanis Criticize US, Israel Involvement in Iranian Protests

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Pakistanis have voiced support for Iran, condemning Israeli and Western interference in the country's internal affairs, stating Pakistani officials and people’s resolve in their belief that Iran will resist external pressure and thwart Western and Israeli conspiracies.

Pakistani experts and commentators widely condemn the interference by the United States and Israeli regime, asserting that Iran will resist external interference and thwart any attempts to destabilize the Islamic Republic, according to IRNA.

This stance comes amidst recent peaceful protests in Iran sparked by economic hardship that turned into violent riots after they were hijacked by anti-Iran terrorists, with analysts emphasizing concerns regarding foreign involvement and unilateral actions by the US and its European allies.

Recent developments in Iran have dominated Pakistani news and social media, with discussions focusing on the protests and the potential for hostile nations like the United States and Israel to intervene in Iranian internal affairs. Pakistani analysts have been closely observing the peaceful rallies of Iranian citizens, primarily economic activists, and predicting potential foreign interference, particularly from the United States.

Following a period of peaceful demonstrations, a number of protesters engaged in violent actions, coinciding with explicit support from the US president Donald Trump and the Israeli regime for these riots in various Iranian cities. Subsequently, Pakistani media has examined the motivations behind foreign interference in Iran and the consequences of imposed plans on the neighboring country.

Several Pakistani media outlets, citing the government's unwavering opposition to foreign interference in Iran's internal affairs, view the US's aggressive behavior, exemplified by its actions in Venezuela and the abduction of its president, as a clear demonstration of imposing foreign agendas. Islamabad-based journalist Maliha Hashemi declared in post on X that “It should be learned from Iran; they will never give in to the extravagance of the United States and Europe.”

Seyyed Baqer Sajjad, a prominent national security expert, stated, “Our main concern is the separatist conspiracy.” He noted Israeli reports of violence that occurred prior to the Iranian protests, emphasizing the importance of strengthening regional cooperation with Iran.

Pakistani political and media figures express apprehension about US and Israeli initiatives in the region, particularly concerning the implications of Trump’s provocative statements and coordination with the Zionist regime, stating that they are against the interests of Pakistan and regional nations.

Khajeh Saad Rafiq, a former Pakistani minister, believes that collusion between the US and Israel to quell protests in Iran is undesirable and will inflict irreparable harm on the region and neighboring nations, especially Pakistan.

Hamed Mir, a Geo News host, warned that the US is seeking to exploit the situation in Iran with the ultimate goal of regime change. He urged the Pakistani government and military to exercise caution, citing that Trump’s actions might inadvertently embolden Iran's adversaries. Mirage Mir stressed the detrimental impact of US and Israeli proximity to Pakistan's borders, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to opposing any attempts at regime change in Iran and the potential for consequences for Pakistan.

Pakistani people have also expressed solidarity with the Iranian government and people through social media posts by posting images of Iranian leaders, and condemnations of foreign intervention. Accounts linked to Pakistan’s security apparatus have publicly endorsed Iran, reaffirming Pakistan’s allegiance and condemnation of attempts to destabilize Iran.

The Iranian embassy in Islamabad and Pakistan’s consulate general in Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, and Quetta have released statements addressing the news and rumors, attempting to provide accurate information and clarifications on Iran’s situation. They are actively disseminating factual statistics from the latest developments in the country to Pakistani media outlets.
