The Office reported on Monday that 21 individuals, including 18 children, have died due to the harsh cold in displaced tents from the start of the Gaza war until January 11, 2026. It stated that a widespread humanitarian crisis persists in Gaza, due to inhumane policies of the Israeli regime.
"The full and direct responsibility of these crimes and its catastrophic consequences lies with the Zionist regime, along with the policy of gradual murder and hunger and displacement of the people of Gaza," the statement read.
The office urged the international community, the United Nations, and humanitarian and legal institutions to urgently intervene by providing safe refugee facilities, allowing unrestricted access to Gaza, and rescuing remaining lives.
Amidst the humanitarian crisis, the Israeli army reportedly continued to violate the fragile ceasefire on Sunday, conducting attacks across Gaza.
Furthermore, Israeli forces carried out large-scale demolition of residential buildings in northern Gaza, notably in the Abu Zaytoun area of the Jabalya camp, causing widespread damage and displacement.
Reports indicate that the Israeli army detonated a car near Sheikh Zayed Square, followed by the demolition of residential homes, with explosions audible throughout the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian hospital and media sources, hundreds of violations by the Israeli regime have occurred since the ceasefire agreement, resulting in hundreds of Palestinian deaths and over 1,200 injuries.
