Four Iranian Skiers Confirmed for 2026 Winter Olympics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The four Iranian ski representatives for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy have been confirmed in the cross-country and alpine disciplines.

Sports

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Italy from February 6 to February 22, and Iran’s national alpine and cross-country ski teams will compete at the Games with four male and female athletes.

In alpine skiing, Sadaf Saveh Shemshaki and Mohammad Kia Darbandsari will represent Iran.

In cross-country skiing, Samaneh Beyrami Baher and Danial Saveh Shemshaki have secured qualification for the Games.

Currently, Bagher Kalhor is the head coach of the men’s alpine team, Mitra Kalhor leads the women’s alpine team, while Seyed Mostafa Mirhashemi and Azadeh Kiashemshaki are members of the cross-country coaching staff.

The head of Iran’s delegation at the Winter Olympics will be Bahram Saveh Shemshaki, the president of the Ski Federation.
