Hesamifard Becomes First Iranian Woman to Conquer Annapurna

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Afsaneh Hesamifard became the first Iranian woman to scale the 8,091-meter tall Annapurna mountain in Nepal.

Sports

On Sunday, she reached the summit of the world’s 10th highest peak.

Hesamifard has already summited K2 (8,611m) and Everest (8,848).

Annapurna is well known for the difficulty and danger involved in its ascent.
