Iran national football team (also known as Team Melli) will meet Bahrain at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa.
“In Group C, Marc Wilmots' free-scoring Iran will likely have its first real test against host Bahrain who famously inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Team Melli on the road to Korea/Japan 2002. Any slip-ups by Iran will benefit Iraq, who can move to the top of the table with a win in Cambodia,” FIFA.com reported.
Iran has defeated Hong Kong 2-0 and Cambodia 14-0 so far.
