Garcia Sanz, who has worked with Winfried Schäfer as an assistant in Jamaica, will travel to Tehran next week.
The local media had already reported that Esteghlal reached an agreement with its former striker Farhad Majidi as Schäfer’s assistant but the club has hit out at the rumors.
Garcia Sanz is a Spanish UEFA football coach.
He will come to the Iranian club with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in High Performance and Sports Psychology, and more than 10 years' coaching experience.
