Milad Fakhreddini gave Esteghlal ahead in the 51st minute with a long-range strike and Omid Ebrahimi made it 2-0 from the penalty spot five minutes later.
“In the first half, we could not find the back of the net but in the second half we scored twice. It was normal we sat back to defend our goals and I am satisfied with our win,” Esteghlal coach Parviz Mazloumi said.
Esteghlal moved top of IPL table with 15 points from six matches, one point ahead of Sepahan.
