FIBA U-19 World Championship: Iran Comes 14th

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Dominican Republic 71-50 at the Heraklion University, Greece in its final match in the 2015 FIBA U-19 World Championship.

Sports

The Iranian U-19 basketball team finished 14th in the competition.

Dominican Republic’s Andres Feliz was the match top scorer with 22 points and Iran’s Mohammad Yousofvand scored 13 points and had 21 rebounds. 

Iran suffered six defeats in the prestigious tournament against USA, Egypt, Croatia, Turkey, Serbia and Dominican Republic respectively and beat China.

Iran came 11th in the previous edition held in Czech Republic.
