US’ Anti-Iran Policies Have Backfired: Military Spokesman

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said the successive political and electoral defeats suffered by US President Donald Trump and his political allies reflect a much deeper reality than fluctuations in domestic politics, namely the failure of the US to overcome Iran’s national will.

He said Washington’s doctrines of aggression, assassination and maximum pressure, along with its ineffective military strategies, have failed against Iran’s deterrent power and the firm resolve of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, nation and Armed Forces.

The senior military spokesman noted that US leaders’ hostile policies toward Iran, repeated setbacks worldwide and particularly in West Asia, the collapse of the “hollow prestige” of American military fleets and equipment, and the deadlock facing Washington’s threats have shaken the foundations of the White House’s hollow power.

Trump and his “foolish, extremist and terrorist-minded” associates had entered the confrontation seeking to destroy Iran, but the outcome has been reversed, leaving them victims of strategic attrition, deep domestic crises and defeats inflicted by Iran’s Armed Forces and the Resistance Front, the general stated.

He described the strategic defeat as living proof that global power equations do not ultimately work in favor of hegemonic powers, warning that any power confronting Iran’s steadfastness and “iron will” would ultimately face collapse and disintegration in world public opinion.
