Iranian Nation Inflicted A Major Strategic Defeat on Trump, SNSC Chief Says

After the November 3 congressional elections led to the humiliating defeat of Trump and his Republican party, Major General Rezaei said the great nation of Iran inflicted a major strategic defeat on Trump on the battlefield and in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as a heavy political defeat in Washington.

He added that the American citizens and the US government have been paying the exorbitant and heavy costs of Trump’s warmongering.

The SNSC chief said the political defeat adds to the list of US failures in its illegal war of aggression on Iran, which began in February and led to restrictions on transit through the Strait of Hormuz, while imposing huge costs on American taxpayers.

Rezaei emphasized: “Anyone who clashes with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a heavy price from the battlefield to the doorstep of their homes.”

His remarks came hours after initial results of the US midterm elections showed that Republicans had lost control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate to the Democrats.

Trump admitted that the war on Iran, which caused a major rise in fuel prices in the United States, had played a role in the election defeat.

Several critics of Trump’s warmongering policies managed to win midterm races in states that had remained loyal to the Republican Party for decades.

Political analysts expect Trump will have to reconsider his policies toward Iran to avoid Democratic-led legislation that could seriously disrupt the remainder of his presidency, which ends in January 2029.
