Speaking at a meeting with provincial governors and mayors of major cities on Monday, Pezeshkian said Iran must overcome the challenges and crisis created by its enemies through public solidarity and cooperation.
The president said his administration is making efforts to resolve problems through dialogue, noting that Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has also granted the administration certain authorities in this regard.
Emphasizing that no one benefits from war, the president stated, “Enemies cannot force Iran to surrender through war. We will stand firmly against their lies and excessive demands.”
Pezeshkian further pointed to attempts by Iran's adversaries to impose obstacles and restrictions on border exchanges between Iran and neighboring countries, saying they are seeking to close the borders and disrupt cross-border trade.
However, he expressed confidence that public solidarity and cooperation would help thwart the enemies' efforts and conspiracies.
The president stressed that Iran could overcome the crisis arising from enemy threats provided that the people stood alongside the government.
“If the people trust us, we can confront the enemies with strength and foil their plots and schemes,” he said.
