In a message posted on his X account, Major General Ali Abdollahi said the Armed Forces are using their full intelligence capabilities to monitor enemy movements and preparations while continuously updating their list of targets.
He stressed that once indications of hostile action by the enemy are established, Iran’s Armed Forces will not wait for the enemy to initiate an attack before choosing when and how to respond.
"Our response will be immediate, impactful, and without geographical restrictions," the top military commander warned.
In a separate message addressed to the Iranian nation following Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei’s firm directives to senior military commanders, Major General Abdollahi praised the Leader’s "wise, prudent, and decisive" instructions, describing them as a guiding framework for commanders and all members of the Armed Forces, just as his valuable directives had been during the Third Imposed War.
He assured the Leader and the Iranian nation that the country's Armed Forces would stand firm against any aggression, regardless of its scale or nature, and would defend the country at the cost of their lives.
Major General Abdollahi said Iran's powerful Armed Forces, acting in accordance with the Commander-in-Chief's directives, are fully prepared to defend the country and its people and confront American and Zionist adversaries with strength and intensity, without geographical limitations. He added that they would employ advanced equipment and modern technologies and continuously enhance their capabilities.
He also warned that any renewed aggression against Iran would be met with a new approach and a response that would be more severe and effective than that delivered during the Third Imposed War, adding that Iran would determine the end of the war by bringing its adversaries' ability to wage it to an end.
The chief of staff also announced that the Armed Forces have placed a new database of enemy targets and assets across a wider geographical area than before on their agenda, promising to confront their adversaries on the battlefield with new surprises.
The statements came after Ayatollah Hosseini Khamenei, in a meeting with senior commanders of the Armed Forces, stressed that intelligent combat readiness for a powerful confrontation with adversaries was essential to achieving maximum deterrence. He directed the military to respond immediately, effectively, and without geographical restrictions to any threat, and ordered a comprehensive update of the target database to bring all physical and non-physical assets of the US-Zionist enemy within the Armed Forces' reach.
The Leader also called for strengthening military intelligence capabilities, expanding indigenous defense technologies and doctrines, and reinforcing the Armed Forces' operational and security capacities.
