Iraq’s PMU Destroys Three Underground Terrorist Hideouts in Anbar

The operation took place in the desert areas of Rawa district, west of Ramadi, where a PMU security unit launched a search mission to locate clandestine Daesh positions.

During the operation, the unit discovered and destroyed three underground hideouts, one of which contained explosive devices, according to the sources.

PMU engineering personnel detonated the explosives remotely, the sources said.

The operation was launched after intelligence indicated that Daesh remnants were using Anbar’s rugged terrain to conceal hideouts and tunnels and avoid detection by Iraqi security forces.
