In a message congratulating Mehrdad Akhlaqi on securing the Parliament’s decisive vote of confidence and his appointment as defense minister on Sunday, General Vahidi said cooperation among the Armed Forces, the country’s defense industry, experts, and knowledge-based companies is essential to strengthening Iran’s strategic capabilities.

He said the confidence vote, held at a critical juncture for the country, underscores the need to continue the path of strengthening Iran’s power and capabilities pursued by the late Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh.

General Vahidi expressed hope that the Ministry of Defense’s strategic capacities would be further strengthened through interaction and synergy among the Armed Forces, the country’s defense industry, experts and specialists, and knowledge-based companies.

“The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, within the framework of its missions, is ready to expand strategic coordination and synergy with the Ministry of Defense along this important path, particularly in successfully countering the enemy’s hybrid threats,” he stated.
