Yemeni Forces Down Saudi Fighter Jet over Sa’ada

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated in an announcement on Wednesday night, “By the grace of God, a few moments ago, we targeted a Saudi Typhoon fighter jet, which had taken off from the Taif airbase, with a surface-to-air missile over Sa’ada Province.”

He added that the aircraft was struck directly and subsequently crashed.

Last month, Yemeni air defenses targeted and downed a Saudi F-15 fighter jet over Marib Province.

Yemeni forces regularly target and bring down Saudi military surveillance or combat drones across various regions.

On Tuesday, Yemeni air defenses targeted a Chinese-made Wing Loong II drone over Sa’ada Province.
