Two Palestinians were killed and three others critically injured in an Israeli drone strike on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday, as the Israeli regime continued violating the ceasefire in effect since October 2025, medical sources said.
The victims were targeted when an Israeli drone struck a group of Palestinians northwest of Rafah, the sources said.
Witnesses said the drone fired at least one missile at the group near Muawiya Mosque in the Al-Mawasi area northwest of the city.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled areas northeast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to local sources.
Israeli naval forces also opened fire and launched shells toward the coast of Gaza City in the north, with no injuries reported, the sources said.
Since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, the Israeli army has killed 1,488 Palestinians and injured 5,281 others in continued attacks, according to the latest figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry.
The latest killings come amid the ongoing Israeli assault on Palestinians in Gaza, following a genocidal war that has devastated the besieged enclave.
Since October 2023, the Israeli regime has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others, leaving the entire enclave in ruins amid the genocide in Gaza.
