President Instructs New Iran Envoys to Promote Unity

Speaking at a ceremony to bid farewell to Iran’s new ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates, Greece, Italy, Uganda and Senegal, Pezeshkian wished the envoys success in carrying out their assignments and called on them to broaden comprehensive interactions with their host countries.

“I hope you have a successful journey ahead and properly carry out your missions in the direction of defending national interests and expanding multilateral relations, particularly economic ties,” the president said.

He also stressed the need to deepen cultural and multilateral ties with neighboring states and other countries, tasking the ambassadors with creating an environment conducive to strengthening multilateral relations and expanding scientific, cultural, economic, sports and artistic exchanges.

Pezeshkian also urged the envoys to serve as messengers of “brotherhood, friendship and unity” and emphasized the need to avoid religious disputes and sectarian divisions.

Describing Islamic unity and cohesion as an undeniable necessity in the face of the enmity of the Israeli regime, Pezeshkian stressed that Iran and other Muslim countries should work to strengthen unity across the region.

“We need to avoid religious and sectarian disputes and expand Islamic unity in the region,” Pezeshkian said.

He added that adherence to divine teachings would prevent the Zionist regime from daring to covet or attack Muslim countries, stressing that the region is rich in resources and capital and that regional states should help one another achieve progress in cultural, political and economic fields.
