Pezeshkian made the remarks during a telephone conversation with Rahmon on Monday to congratulate him on his birthday, wishing the Tajik president and the Tajik people health, happiness and prosperity.

The Iranian president also expressed hope for Rahmon’s continued health and longevity.

Rahmon, for his part, thanked Pezeshkian for his birthday wishes and emphasized the need to further expand relations and cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan.

The Tajik president also praised Pezeshkian’s recent address to the United Nations General Assembly, describing it as a wise and powerful speech, and wished happiness and prosperity for the Iranian people.
