Iran Appoints Science Adviser for Levant

Under an appointment decree issued by Minister of Science Hossein Simaei Sarraf, Mohammad Javad Najafi, a faculty member of Imam Hussein (AS) University, was appointed as “science adviser and head of Iranian students in the Levant region, based in Iraq.”

The decree calls on Najafi to identify scientific talents and capacities in the countries covered by the post, facilitate their use, and expand scientific communications and cooperation with Iranian universities and research centers.

It also emphasizes attracting students and technologists in coordination with Iran’s Student Affairs Organization, the Ministry of Science’s Center for International Scientific Cooperation, and Iranian diplomatic missions in the relevant countries, within the framework of government policies.
