Addressing a Sunday session of the Parliamentary, Qalibaf said the US has recently conveyed proposals through mediators despite making different statements in the media, stressing that the era of buying time and imposing unilateral demands has ended.

He said Iran’s position is “completely clear and definitive,” emphasizing that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until all seven of Iran’s conditions under the Islamabad memorandum of understanding are fulfilled.

Qalibaf said the US is fully aware of Iran’s resolve but has increased its rhetoric and military threats alongside economic pressure and military and security measures, at times making several contradictory statements in a single day.

He described this as characteristic of “cognitive warfare,” saying the enemy may present itself as seeking negotiations and an agreement one day, threaten confrontation and destruction the next, and then claim to be seeking mediation and compromise.

According to the Parliament speaker, such deliberately contradictory messages are intended to create confusion in Iranian society, disrupt officials’ decision-making and manipulate Iran’s strategic calculations. However, he stressed that Iran does not base its national security and strategic policies on daily US officials’ tweets or interviews.

“We base our actions on the enemy’s real behavior and actions, not on rhetoric and false dichotomies in the media,” Qalibaf said.

He added that Iran acts based on a strategy of “power and rationality,” neither becoming emotional nor intimidated. Iran, he said, is simultaneously prepared to fight and negotiate.

“We will be fully present on the battlefield and confront the enemy with new surprises, while also using diplomacy to consolidate our superiority on the military battlefield and secure the rights of the Iranian nation,” Qalibaf said.

He reiterated that “the one who is victorious at the negotiating table is the one who has prepared himself for war,” adding that Iran and the Resistance Front are now at the height of their strength and that the country enjoys maximum battlefield power and national cohesion.

Under the guidance of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Iran will never allow the enemies’ “delusions” about the country to materialize, Qalibaf stated.
