The latest wave of aggression included multiple Saudi airstrikes on residential areas in Yemen’s capital, Sana'a, as well as attacks on positions and areas in the provinces of Saada and Taiz.
Al Mayadeen reported that Saudi warplanes targeted Mount Attan in southern Sana'a in addition to the attacks on residential areas.
There were no immediate reports on the extent of the damage or the number of casualties from the strikes on Sana'a.
The Saudi aggression also extended to Taiz, where Yemeni media reported that Saudi fighter jets targeted the eastern access road of Joulat al-Qasr in the Salah district.
In Saada province, Saudi forces carried out artillery attacks against residential and border areas, with Yemeni media reporting shelling of villages in the border district of Razih.
Al Masirah also reported that the Saudi regime shelled the border area of Ghamr in Saada.
Separately, local sources in Saada said Saudi warplanes fired missiles at the communications network in the district of Saqin.
The attack on the communications network was reported as part of the Saudi regime’s continued attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saada, a northern Yemeni province bordering Saudi Arabia that has repeatedly been targeted by Saudi air and artillery strikes since the beginning of the conflict.
The latest strikes came as Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said the Saudi regime had carried out 94 attacks against various parts of Yemen over the previous 24 hours.
Saree said the Saudi attacks had targeted residential areas in the provinces of Sana'a, Saada, Taiz, Hajjah, Amran and Ibb, resulting in the deaths and injuries of a number of civilians.
He added that the total number of Saudi air and missile attacks against various parts of Yemen since the beginning of the latest round of aggression had reached 1,350.
According to Saree, the Saudi regime carried out the attacks using F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets operating from the Khamis Mushait, Taif, Najran and Jizan bases.
