Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Eskandar Mo’meni presented a detailed report on the latest preparations for the council elections.

He said that despite the country’s wartime conditions and economic pressures, sufficient equipment and facilities have been prepared to conduct the elections entirely electronically.

“All the equipment, devices and ballots have been distributed across the country, and we are ready to hold the elections,” Mo’meni said, adding that the first half of Aban is the proposed timeframe for the vote.

The proposed period corresponds to October 23 – November 6.
