In a statement, the center described the ongoing Saudi attacks as a dangerous escalation against the lives, property and service infrastructure of residents in the province.

According to the statement, Saudi fighter jets struck a residential house in Al-Ma’afer district, killing three women and an elderly man and wounding three other citizens.

The center said the attack occurred while a civilian family was inside its home, stressing that those targeted had committed no wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, the center said the latest attack came only one day after Saudi warplanes struck Taiz’s central market in the Mafraq Mawiyah area of Al-Taiziyah district.

That attack killed seven citizens and wounded 40 others, according to the statement, which said the strike hit a civilian market where people were working, shopping and seeking to earn their daily livelihood.

In another attack, Saudi fighter jets bombed Al-Rawd School in the Al-Rabiei area of Al-Taiziyah district, completely destroying the educational facility and depriving children of access to the school.

The center said the targeting of a residential house, a crowded market and a school within a short period provides a clear picture of the danger facing civilians in Taiz, where homes, markets and educational facilities are no longer safe from bombardment.

Ain Al-Insaniyah held the Saudi regime fully responsible for the killings, injuries and destruction of civilian property and facilities, and called for an immediate end to the attacks.

The center also stressed that international humanitarian law requires the protection of civilians and civilian sites and prohibits attacks on locations that play no role in military operations.

The center warned that continued attacks on homes, markets and schools in Taiz represent a dangerous escalation requiring immediate international action to protect civilians and end the aggression whose cost is being paid by innocent citizens.
