With Saudi-backed forces already gone from Mocha, the Ansarullah fighters moved south with little resistance and captured Dhubab and Murad.
The offensive was completed with the fall of the Al-Ardhi area, where Yemen’s armed forces entered the region, officially placing Ansarullah in control of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The control of the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait means Yemen’s armed forces have gained full authority over maritime security and commercial shipping in the Red Sea, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Ansarullah naval forces moved offshore following the coastal advance, capturing Mayyun Island in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and advancing toward Zuqar Island, where clashes are ongoing.
