Pezeshkian attended the ceremony at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is participating in the sixth edition of the games with 120 athletes competing in various teams.

The official opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games was held on August 31 at Bishkek Arena, with the participation of heads of delegations who had arrived in the Kyrgyz capital for the SCO summit, including SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev.

The ceremony was attended by the heads of state of SCO member countries, as well as the president of Mongolia, an observer state invited to the SCO Plus meeting, and heads of several SCO dialogue partner states.

Welcoming the participants and guests, Japarov said the World Nomad Games have become a prominent event on the international sports and cultural calendar, showcasing the rich historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of Central Asia and other regions.

The World Nomad Games bring together traditional sports, national games and cultural traditions of peoples historically linked to nomadic civilization. Teams from countries around the world, including SCO member states, compete in the games.

The Kyrgyz president noted that hosting the games contributes to strengthening mutual understanding among peoples, expanding humanitarian contacts and promoting the ideals of friendship, mutual respect and good-neighborliness.
