In a televised interview on Friday night, Pezeshkian said Iran has been able to withstand its current challenges because of the unity and cohesion among its people and officials. He urged all political and social groups to preserve this unity, warning that divisions would undermine the country’s ability to confront its problems, regardless of its military capabilities.

The president also emphasized the importance of dialogue and reaching a common language with Muslim countries, saying regional security could be ensured through interaction, communication and mutual understanding. He said Iran should take into account the concerns of its neighbors while expecting them to consider Iran’s concerns, stressing that interaction cannot be based on one side imposing its views on the other.

Pezeshkian said Iran is seeking to strengthen ties with countries across the region, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Azerbaijan Republic and Turkmenistan. “We are brothers and are not rulers over one another,” he said, calling for joint efforts to calm the region and prevent Israeli aggression against Muslim countries.

He further called for avoiding divisive rhetoric and focusing on common ground, saying political differences should not prevent people and officials from working together to address public concerns. He described the current consensus and cohesion among the country’s top officials as unprecedented, urging them to reach common understandings and implement decisions collectively.

Pezeshkian also linked unity to Iran’s ability to overcome economic and social difficulties, saying greater public cooperation and solidarity would strengthen the country’s resilience. “The principle behind all the promises I made is unity and cohesion,” he said, adding that if people join hands and work together, there will be no problem that we cannot solve.
