Russia, Iran to Work to End Global Sanctions Pressure: Spokeswoman

Speaking at a briefing on Thursday, Zakharova said Moscow categorically rejects the use of unilateral and coercive measures that it considers illegal and contrary to the UN Charter.

She said Russia would coordinate with its Iranian counterparts and other interested countries to counter another unlawful initiative involving sanctions.

Zakharova added that Moscow, together with like-minded partners, would continue efforts to eliminate sanctions pressure from international relations, arguing that such measures have long been used as a tool to settle political scores and punish states viewed unfavorably by Western countries.
