Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri held talks with Brazil’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change during a visit to Mongolia, focusing on ways to expand exchanges and enhance bilateral cooperation in natural resources, forestry, and soil and water conservation.

The two sides reviewed existing capacities for expanding interaction and cooperation and stressed the need to strengthen ties in areas related to environmental protection and natural resources.

Joint cooperation in forestry, given its economic and social importance, was among the key issues discussed. The two officials also exchanged views on soil conservation, watershed management, and ways to utilize the capacities of both countries to manage and protect natural resources.

They emphasized expanding exchanges and making greater use of the two countries’ expertise and specialized capacities in natural resource management.

Nouri and the Brazilian minister also stressed the need to continue consultations to identify new areas of cooperation and further strengthen bilateral relations.
