New Ambassador Urged to Strengthen Iran-Belarus Ties

Mohsen Omidzamani, Iran’s new ambassador to Belarus, met with Araqchi in Tehran before departing for his diplomatic post.

The incoming envoy outlined his proposed plans for developing and deepening bilateral relations and utilizing existing capacities to broaden cooperation in various fields.

Araqchi wished the ambassador success in his mission and stressed the need to pursue and strengthen Iran-Belarus relations within the framework of bilateral agreements and cooperation documents, particularly by focusing on economic and commercial as well as scientific and technological cooperation.

Omidzamani used to serve as deputy director of the Foreign Ministry’s Department of Multilateral and International Economic Cooperation and as Iran’s ambassador to Singapore in the past.
