In the meeting, held in Tehran on Sunday, Fadlallah conveyed the greetings of Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem and commended the Iranian nation’s “heroic defense” against the US-Israeli military aggression, as well as Tehran’s firm diplomatic stance.

He said Iran’s resistance and diplomacy have strengthened the authority of the Islamic Republic and served as a source of pride for its friends, the peoples of the region and freedom-seeking people around the world.

The Lebanese parliamentarian also briefed Araqchi on the latest developments in Lebanon, including the ongoing aggression and occupation by the Zionist regime.

Expressing appreciation for Iran’s support for the Lebanese people, particularly Araqchi’s diplomatic efforts in support of Lebanon and the resistance, Fadlallah stressed the need for concerted and decisive action by Islamic countries to confront the Israeli regime’s expansionism and crimes in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank.

Araqchi, for his part, praised the Lebanese people’s honorable resistance and steadfastness in the face of Israeli aggression and reaffirmed Iran’s comprehensive support for Lebanon in defending its territorial integrity, dignity and national sovereignty.
