The ceremony was held on Tuesday evening with the enthusiastic and widespread participation of people from various walks of life as well as a number of military and civilian officials.

Those in attendance paid their respects to the high status of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing his path and pursuing his ideals.

The ceremony was part of commemorative events being held in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad to mark the 40th day since the funeral and burial of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and honor his martyred family members.

According to an announcement by the Office of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Tehran ceremony was scheduled for Tuesday at the Imam Khomeini Musalla, while ceremonies in Qom and Mashhad will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, at the shrines of Lady Fatimah Masoumah (PBUH) and Imam Reza (PBUH).
