Qusra Mayor Abdul Azim al-Wadi said messages received by the municipal council indicated that the families, comprising around 13 people, could face serious shortages of food and medicine within the coming hours.
Since Aug. 9, Israeli occupiers have surrounded the three homes under the protection of Israeli army forces, preventing the families from entering or leaving after the area was declared a “closed military zone.”
“The occupiers are deployed in the area and move freely,” Wadi told Anadolu.
The mayor said Israeli forces and occupiers continued Tuesday to maintain the siege around the homes and obstruct the delivery of essential supplies.
Meanwhile, the owner of one of the besieged homes, Louay Abu Rida, a US citizen, managed Monday to reach his property accompanied by an American delegation.
“It was very difficult to see your home and family besieged through surveillance cameras, and the hardest part was that I was far away from them and unable to reach them,” Abu Rida told Anadolu after arriving in Qusra.
He said that after traveling from the US, the scenes he had been watching remotely had become a reality around his home, with occupiers reaching its vicinity despite the presence of Israeli army forces.
“We were told the army was there to protect us and keep the occupiers away, but what we saw on the ground was different,” Abu Rida said.
The Ras al-Ain area has witnessed repeated attacks by Israeli occupiers in recent months as they seek to establish an illegal settlement outpost and seize Palestinian land and homes.
Palestinians have warned that the prolonged siege could become a means of displacing residents and taking control of their property.
Separately, a Palestinian was injured by Israeli army fire in Al-Ram town, north of occupied East Al-Quds, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
Witnesses said Israeli soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian near the separation wall in Al-Ram, although the circumstances of the shooting remained unclear.
The incident came amid escalating Israeli army and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank since the Gaza war began in October 2023, with more than 1,100 people killed, according to Palestinian figures.
