The Office of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, on the occasion of the fortieth day after the funeral and burial of the pure body of the Leader of the Truth-Seekers of the World, issued a statement announcing the holding of commemorative ceremonies for the martyred Leader, Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, in Tehran as well as the holy cities of Qom and Mashhad.

The full text of the statement by the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Exalted

Concurrent with the fortieth day since the historic funeral and burial of the pure body of the martyred Leader of Iran, commemorative ceremonies for that magnanimous Leader and his martyred family members will be held in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad, on behalf of Grand Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

The commemorative ceremonies for the martyred Leader, Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, will be held as follows:

Tehran: Tuesday, August 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tehran time, at the prayer hall of the Imam Khomeini Musalla

Qom: Wednesday, August 19, after the Maghrib and Isha prayers, at the shrine of Lady Fatimah Masoumah (SA)

Mashhad: Thursday, August 20, coinciding with the eve of the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Askari (AS), after the Maghrib and Isha prayers, at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS)

The honorable people of Iran are invited to attend the commemorative ceremonies for the martyred Leader.

The enthusiastic and massive turnout of the Iranian people and the devotees of the two Imams of the Islamic Revolution at the fortieth-day commemorative ceremonies for the martyred Leader will serve as a renewed pledge of allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and a reaffirmation of their commitment to the path of the martyred Leader of Iran.
