Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Farzaneh Sadeq said the enemy targeted not only airport infrastructure but also electricity and water facilities, as well as the resilience of the Iranian people.
She said her ministry worked to rebuild damaged infrastructure during the war of aggression so that the facilities could rapidly return to operation.
“During the war, we lost 100 aircraft,” Sadeq said, adding that despite the losses, Iran Air operated Hajj flights during the conflict using eight aircraft.
The minister said services in the rail, road and port sectors continued throughout the war, with efforts focused on ensuring uninterrupted passenger and cargo transportation and delivering essential and basic goods to different parts of the country as quickly as possible.
Sadeq also recalled that the US and the Israeli regime attacked 400 cities across 25 provinces of Iran, saying around 100,000 commercial and residential units were damaged during the second and third wars of aggression imposed on Iran.
