IRGC Deputy Chief: Iran Emerged Victorious from US-Israeli War

Speaking at a ceremony honoring journalists on Monday, Major General Izadi said the enemy had sought to destroy Iran’s millennia-old roots, but its efforts at different stages have ended in failure.

Referring to the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, the IRGC deputy commander said the conflict demonstrated the effectiveness of Iran’s system of governance based on ‘Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist’.

“The greatest military power in the world entered a war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, but this system demonstrated extraordinary resilience,” Major General Izadi said.

He stressed that the Islamic Republic was not a personal or individual-based government, but rather a system founded on popular choice, saying Iranian society itself plays a role in guiding the country.

“The system based on Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist) managed a war at one-hundredth of the enemy’s cost, the outcome of which was the victory of the Islamic Republic’s fighters,” the commander said.
