In a post on his X account on Saturday, Velayati linked the defeat of the United States and the Israeli regime to a growing belief that foreign forces are the main source of insecurity in the region.

“Recent developments were shaped by the resilience of the Armed Forces, the steadfastness of the Iranian people, and the courage of the Resistance Axis,” he said.

“The defeat of the US and the Zionist regime reinforced the belief that foreign forces, as the main cause of insecurity, must leave the region,” he added.

“The countries of the region can ensure security through increasing cooperation,” Velayati stated.
