Mohammad Mahdi Tabatabaei, the deputy for information and communications at the Office of the President, rejected the resignation rumors in a post on his X account, saying the allegations are part of a campaign by political extremists acting in line with the interests of Iran's adversaries.
"The claim that the president has resigned is baseless and an outright lie. The sinister coalition of deceitful whisperers and proponents of extremism and mismanagement has set its sights on the sacred unity and national cohesion,” he said.
“Two years have passed since their failure in the national election, yet they are still seeking revenge against the will of the people. They have become puppets in the hands of Iran's enemies. It is truly disgraceful,” Tabatabaei added.
