The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps announced on Thursday that its Aerospace Force has destroyed three American F-35 fighter jets and killed US military personnel in a missile attack on the US military's Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan.

In a statement, the IRGC addressed "the honorable and discerning people of Jordan," saying their "sincere accompaniment and cooperation," particularly the explicit positions adopted by groups of Jordanian elites, had "tightened the noose around the enemy and left it desperate."

The statement said that in the early hours of Thursday, the "helpless American enemy," instead of engaging in a fair military confrontation, used "occupied bases" in Jordan to launch bunker-buster bombs against two residential houses on Iran's Qeshm Island.

According to the IRGC, the attack resulted in the martyrdom of a father, a mother and one child, while two other children have been wounded.

It said that "in response to this crime" and "to help you liberate the Islamic land of Jordan from the calamity of the American occupiers," the IRGC Aerospace Force targeted the parking ramp and maintenance hangar used by American F-35 fighter jets at Al Azraq Air Base with several ballistic missiles.

The IRGC said the strike completely destroyed three F-35 fighter aircraft and inflicted heavy damage on three others.

It further stated that several enemy officers and technical and maintenance personnel were also killed in the attack.

"Our region is no place for a child-killing army that so brutally massacres innocent families in their sleep at midnight," the statement said.

"The struggle of us and you will continue until the last American occupier is expelled from the Islamic lands," it told the Jordanian people.

Earlier on Thursday, the US launched missile strikes on several locations in southern Iran, including Qeshm Island as well as parts of Bushehr, Fars and Khuzestan provinces.

The deadliest strike hit a residential house in the Chah Tangu neighborhood of Qeshm, where three members of a family—a father, a mother and their two-year-old child—were martyred. Two other children, aged seven and nine, were injured and transferred to hospital.

Other American strikes targeted areas near Choghadak in Bushehr Province and locations in the counties of Kazeroun and Farashband in Fars Province, including a sports hall.
