Iran and Iraq signed four cooperation documents during the official visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Kadhim al-Zaidi to Tehran on Thursday.
The agreements were signed in a ceremony attended by President Masoud Pezeshkian and Prime Minister al-Zaidi, reflecting the two neighbors' commitment to broadening bilateral cooperation.
The documents included an agreement on international road freight transport, as well as memorandums of understanding on the Khosravi-Khanaqin-Baghdad railway project, a sister-city partnership between Tehran and Baghdad, and cooperation in public management, education, and human resource development.
The agreements are intended to strengthen transport connectivity, promote administrative cooperation, and further expand ties between Iran and Iraq across multiple sectors.
