Al-Zaidi has traveled to Iran on an official visit for talks with senior Iranian officials.

He was welcomed at the airport by Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, the Iranian Minister of Economy and Head of the Iran-Iraq Joint Commission.

During his stay in Tehran, Al-Zaidi is scheduled to meet with high-ranking officials of Iran and discuss bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international issues.
