Following the “cowardly aggression” by the “terrorist US military” against the Bampur base in Iran’s Iranshahr, which resulted in the martyrdom of seven permanent and conscript personnel, the Army Ground Force announced that a firm response to the attack will be delivered at the appropriate time.
The Army said the US military targeted the dormitory and residential facilities of one of the Iranian Army Ground Force bases in Bampur early on Wednesday, firing 13 missiles at the site.
It added that the “aggressor enemy” deliberately struck the base’s dormitory, guesthouse and guard posts in an attempt to inflict the highest possible number of casualties.
Despite the scale of the attack and the intensity of the missile strikes, which were carried out with the aim of causing maximum human losses, the implementation of passive defense measures and precautionary arrangements prevented a higher number of casualties, the statement said.
The attack resulted in the martyrdom of seven members of the 388th Iranshahr Brigade, including permanent personnel and conscripts, while a number of other servicemen were wounded and are receiving medical treatment.
The Army Ground Force condemned the “cowardly attack” on the accommodation facilities of Army personnel, offered condolences over the martyrdom of the brave servicemen to their families, comrades-in-arms and the Iranian nation, and stressed that the country’s borders remain under sustained security.
“The revenge for the pure blood of the martyrs of this crime is certain and imminent,” the statement said, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, with God’s help and alongside other Armed Forces, will deliver a decisive response to the US enemy’s act of aggression.
