Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesman for the Iranian Army, highlighted the significance of holding the funeral ceremonies in a dignified and grand manner, saying the Army will continue its mission of service alongside the Iranian nation’s mass participation in bidding farewell to the martyred Leader.

He said the Army is prepared to play an effective role in safeguarding national security, providing public services, and carrying out ceremonial arrangements for receiving foreign guests expected to attend the event.

Akraminia also announced enhanced security measures along Iran’s land and air borders, stating that the deployment of additional Army Ground Force units has strengthened border security.

He added that Iran’s Air Defense Force will maintain continuous monitoring of the country’s skies and, alongside reinforcing national airspace security, will regulate air traffic during the period of increased travel and foreign flights linked to the ceremonies.

According to the spokesman, the Air Force and Navy are also on full alert.

Akraminia further said the Army has established four temporary pilgrim camps in and around Tehran to provide accommodation, catering, and medical and health services to pilgrims and participants.

He noted that Army helicopter units and aviation rescue teams will be stationed along high-traffic routes to provide emergency relief and medical assistance.

The spokesman added that the Army’s urban and mobile hospitals, drawing on operational experience gained during wartime, will deploy medical teams at Tehran’s Mosalla and along pilgrimage routes to deliver urgent healthcare services.

He also said Army logistical units and support centers will assist with transportation, supply needs, welfare services, and accommodation, while making the necessary facilities available to religious service stations and pilgrim centers.
